I would love to share my story with you.

As a young adult, I began my photography career in the entertainment business. There were some perks, but one aspect of the business never sat well with me. I saw that a person had to be a certain size or have a certain look to be successful. I know this isn’t surprising to you. Hollywood, advertising and society in general, have shoved their perceptions of beauty down our throats. If you didn’t fit into that mold, you were seen as “not good enough”. I saw the negative impact that this type of rejection had on these, otherwise talented, beautiful people, firsthand.

Working in that atmosphere, taught me one thing. Those perceptions were not aligned with my beliefs and values. I remembered being the kid that was too tall and too skinny / lanky and awkward growing up. For a time, it did affect my self esteem. It wasn’t until I changed my inner thoughts, did I realize that I was good enough. So as I got older, I asked myself how do I “get in the fight” and empower people? How can I help women see how amazing they are no matter their size, shape, or age? How can I use photo imagery to help others realize that they are GOOD ENOUGH just the way they are? Boudoir photography was my answer.

And so it began…
